Back to School For Kids With Nordstrom And Grayson Is Starting Preschool

Both Girls Are Going to Preschool :(
Such a sentimental time for me, and an exciting one for the girls!! Honestly, I cried each year Hartley has gone off to Preschool. Even though she is only going 4 half days…that’s a lot of time to be away from me and our home…:( As much as I absolutely loved every year of all my schooling, I miss her! However, like her momma, she is ecstatic and loves her teachers and learning! It’s been incredible seeing the growth she has made.
Now baby Grayson is about to start in a few weeks…but only for 3 days a week. She is my super strong willed, independent, wildly animated…just FULL of personality baby and I kept joking…oh I’ll be so excited for her to go to school…ha! She is someone who needs more stimulation and will thrive and excel very quickly. It will also help her improve in a few areas by watching her peers…like sitting quietly, not yelling…little random qualities that strong willed, busy children have. Now as we are getting closer, I kid you not, I’m loosing sleep over it…I had so much anxiety yesterday thinking of her little self leaving me to go to school, I didn’t know whether to cry or be sick. Ha, funny how the idea seems so freeing and helpful, but the reality is, my baby is going to school, and it’s the first step to her independence, and that Crushes my momma heart!! So I guess my whole, what I thought I’d feel in regards to having her start preschool, versus how I truly feel, were wrong…but it’s still kind of funny to joke about.
With both my kids I can’t wait to see who they grow up to be…they both possess qualities I have, but my gut feeling is they are going to be able to run with them with such conviction and strength…it’'ll be impressive to witness! You betcha I’ll be right beside them cheering them on, guiding them to follow their heart and passions. Both my girls are independent, creative, kind, and intelligent, each in their own ways. My Hartley will be my Do-Gooder….I feel like she is going to do amazing things for people, animals and/or this world. She has the same heart that I have, but I just feel like she is going to really make a difference in a beautiful and creative way. My Grayson stands up for herself like no other…she is going to be a major Boss in whatever direction calls to her and fills her soul. I can’t wait to see how she is going to make a difference in her own way…she is someone you’ll definitely want in your corner…ha! Excited to reread this in 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 years, to see how my predictions panned out. Regardless, life is sooooo good, and can’t wait for everything with these two!!

So needless to say, Back To School Shopping has been kind of a dream, but also emotional! Super excited to work with Nordstrom on this post…because Nordstrom is very much in my vision plan, for memories I wish to create with my girls.
I envision many back to school and just special mommy and daughter days ahead at their store, and of course dining in their cafe after…which is my favorite!! Back to school or not, this is something I look forward to with my girls and especially with Nordstrom, because it holds such an important and special place in my heart! Every mom has a list of…ooh I can’t wait to make this memory with them and for them, and that is so true for me and this Nordstrom loving momma! I’ll probably cry that day too, and every time we cheers over lunch after, I’ll get teary eyed…ha! It’s these little my dream came true moments that are so special…and it’s always these small moments of togetherness that fulfill me most. Since my Gray is so little and well…frisky…I ordered online this year….ha…but we had a try on party, and ice cream after :)
Nordstrom has the cutest clothing for girls and boys!! Omg…I want everything...hehe…who doesn’t right!!! Head to toe, they have you covered…and also in backpacks and lunch bags. Just so many squeal worthy goodies.
