Instagram Recap and OOTD Live Love Blank, February 16-28, 2019
Hi Beauties…This second half of February was filled with a fun trip for Jordan and I, and then a scary hospital stay for our daughter Hartley!
We took a much needed trip to Vegas, just Jordan and I, without the kids, to celebrate our friends 40th Birthday! It was sooo much fun!!! We went with 4 other couples, all our good friends, and had a blast!!! We stayed at Aria, which was amazing! I was so impressed with their I-pad that controlled everything from the shades, to lighting and music, in each room…modern and technologically advanced…so want for our home. Plus, it had amazing restaurants and shopping right off the hotel!! Highly recommend!! We ate at Catch the first night, which was phenomenal and so gorgeous inside. Sushi and oysters…yes and yes…it was so worth the money! We saw Jerry Seinfeld live that night and omg Hilarious! If you get a chance to see him…you need to…he was so funny. We ended up going to a speak easy that night, which was more a full on club, with tons happening…that’s Vegas for ya. The next day we had a girls lunch at Javier’s and did some shopping, while the guys gambled. That night we celebrated our friend and ate at STK…it was amazing!! That Beef Tartare and Kobe thou….OMG so good! Such a blast with our friends!! That night we and got a table right off the dance floor at Marquee. No clue how we made it till almost 4am….but it was so fun…we danced all night and I freakin love the people watching…ha! Seriously, such a blast…love Vegas…Shows, Food, Shopping, and Clubs! It’s got it all!! So good to have a mini getaway as adults…it was only our second trip, just us, in 4 years, so it was nice.
Unfortunately, when we got back Hartley ended up getting a double ear infection. Her temps over the next few days would not drop…it was kind of scary…she slept 2 days straight and I still had that nagging feeling it was more. As we approached that 48 magic hour, where the meds were supposed to start working, nothing was changing, she had difficulty breathing, and I just needed to bring her in. Thank goodness!! I always trust my intuition, no matter how bizarre it seems, it always ends up being spot on. Trust those thoughts people!
Once we were there, she needed a breathing treatment immediately, and it wasn’t progressing and needed oxygen. It was decided that an ambulance needed to be called, because they didn’t want her without oxygen. Hartley was sitting on my lap, and I remember saying I need a sec, I took that 1 second to have my panic watery eyes, sad moment, and then put my warrior pants on. It’s amazing to see how all us mommas, can handle bad situations involving our kids. I was calm, loving, and a strong support for her, I was actually so proud of myself and my strength, post that 1 second on. My husband was also so amazed, thanks babe…he was more emotional, which was so sweet, because he wasn’t there with us, and was so worried.
So we had our first ride ambulance, both hers and mine, and they rushed us to the closest hospital, Honor Health, which was actually where I delivered both Hartley and Grayson. Hartley heard all the stories about our time there, and I showed her tons of pics of her and Gray, and their births. The nurses and doctors were so incredible...I was so amazed with each of them! Turns out she had pneumonia and RSV. Uggh…we spent 3 days there, and got to leave end of day that last day! She was such a good sport…I was so proud of her…she was so brave and amazing!! Uggh but seeing your baby like that is just heartbreaking!!! I never want to see my child(ren) like that again, and would like to block this out of my memory going forward. I seriously can’t thank the Pediatric ER enough! They were just so caring, and loving, and brought her different toys and crafts to help keep her busy each day…seriously so grateful for every one of them. Also grateful to so many of our friends and family who spoiled her, and for the hundreds of DMs and well wishes from all of you. Oh my gosh, my heart runneth over…reading those while she slept next to me was so heart warming! Thank you so so much…I absolutely so touched!! Coming home was amazing…and that’s when I cried…Our sweet Hartley…we love you so much…both of you girls!! We just want forever with you both!
Below is my outfit catch up from these 2 weeks…sorry for the delay in getting this out…the bad luck kind of continued a little into March for us…Plus, I couldn’t post as much these two hectic weeks either..
