I love seeing those festive Fourth of July snacks decorating my Pinterest page every year, and always wanted to make a few of those...anyone else? This summer my girls have been obsessing over those red white and blue bomb popsicles, and we have been ordering those every week from our Walmart+ membership. Those are actually super festive, and they motivated me to expand on that and make a few of those Pinterest inspired treats.

I love surprising Hartley and Grayson with fun little festive treats...they love helping to bake and cook, and seeing it all set up and pretty just makes it extra special and sweet for them. It's always the little things with my girls...I love that about them.

I chose two very simple...I mean very simple, anyone can do Fourth of July treat ideas. I always love seeing the American flag cakes at BBQs, and my girls love cake, strawberries and whipped cream...winning! Rice krispie treats are one of my favorite things...plus they are so easy to make, super festive, and I'm sure the girls will love too. Therefore, we had an early festive day for them, and snapped a few pics so if you would like to recreate any for yourself this holiday...here ya go...easy and delicious!!!

I do the majority of my grocery shopping with Walmart+, on a consistent weekly basis, and then have many spur of the moment mid week orders like this...because the membership has free delivery over $35 (restrictions apply). I went online the night before, added everything to my cart, and had it delivered first thing in the am. Walmart+ had all the ingredients I needed, organic as well...even the colored chocolate candy melts, and festive holiday sprinkles. They make everything so convenient...and it took me just a few minutes to order. I love how they prompt you before checking out if you need to reorder anything you normally order...which is fabulous...because I always need a few of my essentials. If they need to substitute something they will send you an email letting you know they are substituting, and if you don't like their suggestion you can go in and cancel it.  For instance I ordered two packs of small organic blueberries, and they needed to send me one large organic box...no problem.

With Walmart + you get free delivery from your store, groceries and more, with a $35 order minimum (restrictions apply), free shipping, from Walmart.com with no order minimum (Excludes Freight & Marketplace items), save 5¢ per gallon at Walmart & Murphy stations, and mobile scan & go in store. It's such a fantastic membership and saves me hours each week from having to run to the grocery store.

Give them a try…they can make your life more convenient as well! You can test them out HERE for $12.95/month, or $98/year.

The girls loved their treats...and I can finally say I've made one of those Pinterest treats...which oddly feels like I accomplished something. I swear sometimes the most basic things are the yummiest! Now we have two new dishes the girls can also help make each year.

Happy July 4th!!

Cheers, Kim

Rice Krispie Treats

Rice Krispies

Butter

Marshmallow Fluff (or bag of marshmallows)

White Chocolate Candy Melts

Sprinkles

Directions: Make as directed...cool in fridge...use a cookie cutter to cut out into rectangles...I like mine gooey so they do break apart...melt candy melts individually in microwave safe bowls...dip one side of bar in each color..decorate with sprinkles...cool

If you like them harder, use regular marshmallows, not fluff.
